Dodges in the Desert #3
Moab, Utah

Day 1

What a great weekend, a lot of RCC folks (5 Ramchargers, and 1 Jeep) showed up to wheel some of Moab's best.

However, before we hit the trails it looked doubtful that the Mike was going to be able to wheel his RC.  During his trip to Moab, the custom front drive shaft decided to spit out one of the u-joint caps.  Because of the odd ag u-joint, none of the parts stores had a replacement.  The crew put their heads together and found another u-joint that had caps that were the same size and simply swapped the cap only.  It worked great and Mike was able to wheel the whole weekend.

For the first trail we ran Metal Masher.

My front driveshaft pulled apart on Rock Chucker. After cleaning the splines with a file,
we slid it back together and were on our way.

Day 1 - Night Run

After a great day on Metal Masher, a few of us opted for a night run, so we picked Hell's Revenge. We did get a little bit lost at one point, be after back tracking a short distance, we rediscovered the trail and made it out. .

Day 2

For the second day, we decided to take it easy and ran Poison Spider.  We even got Kendall to straddle the "Notch".

My rear diff cover received a little carnage on the rocks coming back off of the trail.

I gave PJTPW a call and he hooked me up with an upgraded cover.

Day 3

For the final day, we ran Cliff Hanger.
